CDJ-3000 vs XDJ-RR — which should you rent?
Two very different rigs. Which one suits your room, your set and your budget.
Updated August 2026
Both are Pioneer, both play the same music, and they suit completely different nights. Here is the short version.
Rent the XDJ-RR if you have no laptop
It is a standalone all-in-one. A USB stick goes in and you play. For a wedding or a private party where nobody wants to babysit a laptop, this is the easier night.
Rent CDJ-3000s if the booth expects them
Club booths in Sri Lanka are built around separate players and a mixer. If you are playing out, or you want to practise on exactly what you will be handed, this is the rig.
Common questions
Which is cheaper to rent?
The XDJ-RR is a single unit rather than three, so it is the lighter booking. Message us for current rates on both.
Can I learn on one and play on the other?
Yes, and most people do. The layout is close enough that moving up is a small step, which is why the academy teaches the fundamentals on both.
